Venice in Love

Sinking into the sea or not, we are so sad to leave Venice today! It’s a city, but in many ways it feels like a town. We stayed in the Dorsoduro neighborhood, which is near the city center, but where regular Venetians live, like our lovely hosts. We had a room in an apartment overlooking the canals, and went for lots of walks in the evenings, after most people had left for the day. One of my favorite places was Campo Santa Margherita where many of young people hang out at night. It has a great vibe and some very cool bars. Yesterday we wandered through the market there and got some fresh raspberries, delicioso!
